Sleep – Putting Insomnia to Bed
Sleep is essential for both physical and mental health, yet many people struggle with:

Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand – both as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and a community pharmacist – the profound impact poor sleep can have on wellbeing.

How Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Can Help
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can be highly effective in improving sleep, because it works with both the conscious and subconscious mind to reduce stress and restore balance.
During sessions, we focus on building positive expectations, encouraging relaxation, and helping the mind to switch off from the constant cycle of worry or overthinking that often gets in the way of restful sleep. By reducing the level of stress hormones and activating the body’s natural relaxation response, hypnotherapy helps to create the right conditions for the brain and body to return to healthy sleep patterns.
What makes this approach unique is that it doesn’t dwell on the problem. Instead, it helps you to focus on solutions, build confidence in your ability to sleep well, and develop new, healthier thought patterns. Many clients notice that as they feel calmer and more in control during the day, their nights naturally become more settled and restorative.
Over time, this combination of relaxation, positive focus, and practical strategies allows you to enjoy deeper, more refreshing sleep – so you can wake feeling rested, energised, and ready to face the day.
In our sessions, I will guide you through questions and discussions designed to:
- Identify and change negative thinking patterns
- Break habits that interfere with sleep
- Explore solutions to issues preventing restful sleep
During the hypnosis portion of the session, you will be guided into a calm, relaxed state where your subconscious mind can:
- Integrate the changes discussed in the session
- Plan the best way forward
- Support your journey to better sleep

Good sleep hygiene is a vital part of overcoming insomnia. As part of your programme, you will receive:

- Build a personalised “toolbox” of relaxation techniques
- Support you with a FREE relaxation download to practise and reinforce these strategies at home
"I worked with Caroline over a number of sessions to help with chronic insomnia. Due to the distance I live from Caroline’s office, we decided to conduct the sessions using teleconferencing. From my perspective this worked really well, as I was able to be in a very relaxed and familiar environment, aiding with the effectiveness of the hypnosis.
